Poster artist. Born to French parents on 24 January 1901. Student in Paris by 1915. Attended AcadÈmie Julian. Produced his first poster in 1924 for Bucheron, a furniture maker. Shortly thereafter combined the initials of his real name with his chosen name to sign his work: A. M. Cassandre.
