Alaleh Alamir
Alaleh Alamir is a pluridisciplinary artist whose catalogue includes engravings, drawings, paintings, installations, video and performance. She was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1959 and received her BA in Fine Arts from Reed College, Portland, Oregon (1982) while also studying film at the Portland Museum Film School, Oregon (1980). She then received an MFA from Parsons School of Design, New York (1986) and was accepted on the Doctorate of Painting Programme at New York University (1987) for her thesis, “Numerical Systems and Colour Perception”. She now lives and works between Europe and India…
