Guo Wei has exhibited internationally since 1988 and is recognized as one of the leading artists to have graduated from the elite Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. His compositions are remarkably realistic, resembling photographs, yet upon closer inspection, reveal disturbing distortions and indistinct facial expressions that may surprise the viewer.
