The artist in his atelier
Jan Wolkers (Oegstgeest, 1925) groeit op in een gereformeerd middenstandsgezin. Vanaf 1941 studeert hij aan de Leidse schilderacademie en later in Den Haag en Amsterdam. In 1957 werkt Wolkers op uitnodiging van de Franse regering een jaar bij de beeldbouwer Ossip Zadkine in Parijs…
