Janel Lloyd was born in April of 1978, and raised in New
York City. She attended Newtown School of Visual Arts, in Queens Borough
of New York City. At the age of 16, she then moved to Yorktown,
Westchester, where she graduated High School. Janel then attended Suny
Purchase College, in Purchase, New York, with a Bachelor in Media,
Society, and the Visual Arts. Her work is rich in color and detail and
often on a large scale. She takes all of her work from real life and
projects onto the palette, as she would prefer to see it. Janel works,
and favors, the pastel on paper medium, but also uses many other mediums
