In her presentation, Jeanne van Heeswijk introduced her current projects, The Blue House (Het Blauwe Huis), which is a “housing association for the mind, a platform for experimental community”. Through this project, she discussed on how to trigger a community to participate in creating a history of their own experimental environment…
Jeanne van Heeswijk is a visual artist who creates contexts for interaction in public spaces. She often works closely with artists, designers, architects, software developers, governments and citizens to generate ‘interspaces’, contexts and crossovers where new relations can be established between groups of people, institutions and conceptual frameworks. Her video works have been shown around the world in exhibitions such as We are The World, Dutch Pavilion at the Venice Biennial (2004); Kunsthalle Exnergasse, Wein (2005); the Taipei Biennial (2005); and the Busan Biennale (2006)…
