Sergej Jensen’s art comprises paintings, films, music, and installations, with a central focus on painting. Paint is used, if at all, only sparingly and without expressive gestures; instead it is even subsequently removed, inasmuch as signs and geometrical forms are bleached into the previously colored pictorial surface, which is also manipulated by threads, pieces of knitting or sewn-together scraps of cloth…
