The four marble phenomena—the word “sculptures” seems too constraining—in Trisha Donnelly’s fourth show at the Casey Kaplan gallery join a wildly eclectic decadelong oeuvre (drawings, photographs, videos, texts, sound pieces, performances) that is as captivating as it is elusive. What did it mean, in 2002, when Donnelly rode unannounced into Kaplan on a white horse and gave a speech that concluded “I am electric”?
