She graduated in 1976 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cairo and later studied etching and painting at the Academia Delle Belle Arti in Florence from 1978-1982. She currently lives and works in Barcelona, Spain. Badran’s practice focuses on the appropriation (and then disfiguration and manipulation) of drawings, paintings and photographs.
