The artist lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.
born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1960 and graduated with a painting degree from the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes de Lisboa in 1984. She received a Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian research grant in 1985-87 and has since exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Portugal and internationally. She has also designed several panel displays for Lisbon subway stations.
